Opera House & Chinese Dinner

Tuesday, July 10th

We didn't have lecture until 3:30pm that day so Katy, Danielle, and I decided to visit the Grand Palais, the famous opera house in Paris. It was open this time! This is supposedly the opera house that The Phantom of the Opera is based off of. So naturally as we walked around, Danielle played the music from the Phantom of the Opera!

After lecture, we went and had dinner in China town. Before dinner we saw where Edith Piaf was born on a stoop in one of the outer arrondissements. I tried duck for the first time for dinner... it was in a mandarine sauce.. not too bad. We also had some great appetizers. And they brought us all warm hand towels to wash our hands before and after our meal, which was pretty nice.
